Shipping

For UK orders, orders are shipped via Royal Mail Special Delivery, the working day after the payment has cleared. Please allow 1-2 business days for your order to arrive  (although this may be longer over weekends and holidays).

For orders from all other countries, orders are shipped via courier or Royal Mail , the working day after the payment has cleared. Please allow 5-8 business days for your order to arrive.

Both UK and international shipments are fully tracked and traceable, and require a signature from customers upon receipt. We, therefore, do not accept PO boxes as a valid shipping address (as our couriers will not delivery to PO Boxes). We are also unable to re-direct orders that have been dispatched, therefore please take care when entering your shipping address. 

Tracking information is provided after the order has shipped.

We currently do not ship to the following territories: Africa, Brazil, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Israel, Lithuania, North Korea, Pakistan, Republic of Georgia, Russia, Turkey, Singapore, Ukraine and UAE


Packaging


Where we have the original box we will send the item to you in this. If the original box is available then this is stated in the product description.

Our jewellery boxes are perfect for storing our stunning jewellery but if you do decide to dispose of the packaging in the future then these boxes are fully recyclable. Ink-free embossed and un-laminated (lamination renders jewellery boxes non-recyclable) and created from recycled materials. We also line the boxes with bespoke wool inserts - rather than the non-recyclable foam inserts seen in the majority of jewellery packaging - to ensure both both box and insert can be recycled.

The outer/postal packaging we use is cardboard and recyclable. Any packing materials, such as packing peanuts, are home compostable.


Taxes

The Vintage Jewellery Company Ltd is based in the United Kingdom. All items shipped internationally may be subject to customs duties or Value Added Tax (VAT) set by the country of destination. These fees are in addition to the price and shipping cost you are charged when completing your online transaction. We are not responsible for any duties/tax applied by your country’s customs office and we advise you check the likely cost of these before purchase. 

If your purchase is subject to customs duties and local sales tax or VAT, the shipping provider will contact you about these fees, which usually must be paid before delivery of your purchase is scheduled. Shipping delays due to customs processing may occur and please note that  we do not have control over customs delays. All our jewellery is insured when shipped and we therefore do not under declare the values of the jewellery for customs purposes. 

Please note antiques (pieces over 100 years old) may be exempt from import duties, although we advise you check with your country’s custom office. If an item is antique we indicate this on the customs documentation. Vintage pieces (less than 100 years old) are usually not exempt and may be subject to import duties/tax applied by your country’s customs office. 


Returns

We offer a full money back guarantee on all online purchases. You must contact us within seven days of receipt to discuss a return or an exchange, and return the item within ten days. The item must be returned in the condition that you received it in order to receive a full refund. 

Please contact us prior to returning an item - we will provide you with the appropriate address for returning items

When returning goods please ensure that you use a tracked service (e.g. Royal Mail Special Delivery), and keep your proof of posting in case you need to claim compensation, as we are unable to refund goods that are not delivered to us.
