Vintage Ring in 9ct Gold with Pearl and Amethyst Cluster

A pretty 9ct gold cluster ring dating from 1970. This gorgeous vintage ring has a central faceted amethyst surrounded by six small pearls. 

A cluster ring is a classic ring design which has a round or oval gemstone in the center, surrounded with a “halo” of the same or contrasting gemstones. Cluster rings have been worn since the mid 18th century and remain a firm favourite today. 

Amethyst has been used since the time of the ancient Egyptians - as far back as 4000 B.C. Amethyst is the birthstone for February.
